On May 20th,2019, the cold hands of death suddenly struck our SOBA family when SOBAN Christopher McNnane aka Grand Bokilo, SOBAN #2939 (’79 class) was killed in a ghastly car accident. SOBANS, friends and well wishes all across the world are still struggling to come to terms with this tragedy. Grand Bokilo was an active member of SOBA America. His simple nature, warm smile and kind heart made him a popular figure among SOBANS young and old alike. He leaves behind he dear wife Irmhild, a Sakerette, and five kids. May his gentle soul rest in peace with the Lord.
Funeral services will be held in Nashville, TN on July 13th, 2019, following a wake on July 12th. SOBANS from all over the world will flock to Nashville to say a final farewell to our fallen brother, before his body will be flown to Cameroon where he will be laid to rest. SOBAN McNnane will be honored with an official SOBA America goodbye protocol.
